Oxidation (All Things Left Unsaid), 2006
A silent dinner affair in the middle of a public exhibition opening, with toasts and conversation regularly attempted in vain through glass windowpane. Ghostly reflections interact with glimpses of dining partners on the other side, interrupting our sense of how we see ourselves and others. In an accompanying video piece, the final scene of an old romantic movie is altered and looped, so that a painting acts to reconnect old lovers.
